In 2022, BlueBotics was acquired by the ZAPI Group.
The ZAPI Group is a global leader in the electrification sector, with main products including motor drivers, electric motors, battery chargers, and related components for electric and hybrid vehicles. Founded in 2001, BlueBotics specializes in natural feature navigation technology. Its ANT series products and natural feature laser navigation solutions are highly competitive in the mid-to-high-end AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle) market.
The addition of BlueBotics has enabled ZAPI to expand its value chain into vehicle navigation control and fleet management, further enhancing its position in the rapidly growing vehicle automation sector. Joining the ZAPI Group helps BlueBotics broaden its global business reach, connect with more potential partners, and provide better support to its existing customers.
BlueBotics’ global business expansion has accelerated.
Currently, in addition to its headquarters in Switzerland, BlueBotics has established local business and technical support teams in the United States and Shanghai. The ANT navigation control system is versatile and applicable to various types of autonomous vehicles (such as AMR, pallet trucks, forklifts, chassis vehicles, and heavy-duty transport AGV) across different industries and applications. Over its 23 years of development, it has driven more than 6,000 AGVs globally. Thanks to its high accuracy, stability, flexibility, ease of installation, and commitment to providing close and professional technical support, BlueBotics has become a market leader in natural navigation. It is a highly trusted supplier in the European and North American markets and has established a network of third-party system integrators to support its Chinese partners’ overseas business.
Upgrades and expansions in ANT product technology
While continually expanding its market, BlueBotics is also advancing its product technology. Last year, the company introduced the ANT extension product, ANT everywhere, which addresses a key traditional challenge faced by autonomous vehicle manufacturers: achieving precise and stable operation of AGVs in outdoor environments. Additionally, BlueBotics has upgraded its fleet and task management software, ANT Server. This software not only optimizes task scheduling and management, controls traffic, and facilitates indoor, outdoor, and multi-floor control, but it also integrates with end customers’ business software and existing equipment. Moreover, it offers market-leading interoperability, allowing an initial fleet of “ANT-driven” vehicles to be established and subsequently expanded with additional ANT-driven vehicles.
