Recently, Velobotics, China’s commercial unmanned vehicle unicorn company, completed a new round of financing of 400 million yuan. The investor is the Huangshi Industrial Development Fund managed by Huangshi State Investment. This round of financing will strongly drive the company’s strategic deepening in areas such as R&D of core technologies for specialized autonomous driving, expansion of its high-end product matrix, and the construction of an integrated ecosystem of “autonomous driving + intelligent manufacturing.”

Founded in 2015, Velobotics’ core team comes from the Department of Automotive Engineering, Tsinghua University. It is committed to building an “autonomous driving brain,” applying full-stack autonomous driving technology to multiple fields such as public safety, life services, and intelligent mobility through a dual-drive model of “technology platform + scenario-based products.”
In terms of financing, Velobotics has completed more than 10 rounds of financing, with investors including well-known institutions such as INNO, BAIC, JD Cloud, Shunwei Capital, Baidu, HOPU-Arm Innovation Fund, and CITIC Securities, demonstrating the capital market’s high recognition of its technological strength and commercial potential.
From the perspective of product deployment, Velobotics leverages its “autonomous driving brain” as the core, building a three-in-one technology system integrating software, hardware, and data to form a product matrix of low-speed unmanned vehicles and high-speed autonomous driving system.
In the low-speed sector, the sanitation vehicles have covered over 100 cities and more than 3,000 customer scenarios in China, accumulating a cleaning area of hundreds of millions of square meters, and has entered more than 40 countries worldwide.
With its dual-drive model of “technology platform + scenario-based products,” Velobotics has successfully achieved large-scale deployment in multiple fields such as low-speed sanitation, logistics delivery, and high-speed L4 autonomous driving, accumulating over 130 million kilometers of operational data.
