A grand delivery ceremony for the first batch of Intelligent Guided Vehicles (IGVs) was held recently at the Tuas Port of PSA International Pte. Ltd. (PSA) in Singapore, marking Siasun Robot & Automation Co., Ltd. (Siasun) has achieved large-scale deployment of nearly 200 port mobile robots at the port. This milestone not only solidifies Siasun’s position as the largest mobile robot supplier for Singapore’s ports but also stands as a remarkable achievement for China’s high-end intelligent logistics equipment in gaining in-depth recognition at international benchmark ports.

A 9-Year Strategic Cooperation: From Prototype R&D to Large-Scale Deployment
PSA International, a world-leading container terminal operator, boasts an extensive global shipping route network and highly automated and information-based terminal facilities, connecting numerous major ports worldwide. The cooperation between Siasun and PSA dates back to 2017, when Siasun launched the R&D of port mobile robot prototypes for PSA, laying a solid foundation of technological mutual trust between the two parties.
This strategic cooperation has advanced steadily over the years. In 2023, Siasun completed its first mass delivery of port mobile robots to PSA, kicking off a new phase of industrial cooperation. By 2024, the cumulative delivery volume of Siasun’s port mobile robots to PSA exceeded 100 units, propelling Siasun to become the largest mobile robot supplier for Singapore’s ports. Up to now, the deployment volume of Siasun’s port mobile robots at PSA’s Tuas Port has reached nearly 200 units, realizing a doubling of volume in just one year. This continuous increase in delivery volume fully demonstrates PSA’s high recognition of Siasun’s technological strength and product reliability, and the two parties have jointly created the “Asia-Pacific speed” for the continuous upgrading of port logistics.
Senior executives from both parties attended the delivery ceremony, including Cai Minghui, Managing Director of PSA International, Liu Changyong, President of Qingdao Siasun, Zhao Chen, CEO of Siasun Singapore, along with other representatives from both sides. On the scene, Cai Minghui solemnly picked up the red ribbon symbolizing innovation and cooperation, and cut the ribbon for the delivery ceremony of the first batch of IGVs in the presence of all representatives. Subsequently, Cai Minghui, together with Liu Changyong and Zhao Chen, jointly held up the exquisite IGV model craft. This miniature intelligent carrier embodies the essence of technological innovation and industrial collaboration, and also symbolizes the two parties’ firm commitment to jointly driving the intelligent transformation of ports.

Upgraded “Flexible Giant”: Breaking Efficiency Bottlenecks of Large-Scale Ports
Against the backdrop of ultra-large container ships becoming the mainstream of maritime transportation, traditional ports are facing prominent pain points such as inefficient loading and unloading, labor shortages, rising operational costs, and difficulty in efficiency improvement, which have become a bottleneck restricting the development of the global logistics chain. Siasun’s port mobile robots, known as the “flexible giant”, are tailor-made to address these industry challenges.
The core product features outstanding performance in high load capacity and high precision: with a rated load of up to 65 tons, it can carry various specifications of containers including 2×20ft, 2×20ft tank containers, 40ft and 45ft containers, fully meeting the diversified operation needs of ports. In terms of movement performance, the robot achieves a positioning accuracy of ±5 cm, a maximum running speed of 7 m/s, and a braking distance of less than 13 meters, balancing operational efficiency and safety.

The first batch of new-generation IGVs delivered this time is an upgraded version of Siasun’s port mobile robots. Based on the advanced structure and technology of the original products, Siasun has deeply integrated artificial intelligence into the overall hardware and software architecture of the IGVs, achieving significant upgrades in navigation methods, scenario adaptability and intelligent level. Adopting multi-sensor fusion technology for autonomous navigation, the new IGVs break free from the dependence on fixed markers, enabling flexible and variable path planning and dynamic scheduling according to real-time production demands.

Equipped with multi-modal fusion perception, high-level path planning algorithms and machine learning technology, the intelligent system of the new IGVs has achieved qualitative improvement in robustness, flexibility and overall operational efficiency in complex dynamic environments and harsh working conditions. In addition, the new-generation IGVs are integrated with an intelligent fault diagnosis and predictive maintenance system: by continuously collecting equipment operation data, conducting pattern recognition and anomaly detection through deep learning algorithms, and accurately predicting fault risks combined with domain large models, it has realized a leap in operation and maintenance mode from “real-time monitoring” to “forward-looking early warning”, greatly improving the reliability and comprehensive operational efficiency of the equipment.
Deepen Global Cooperation, Expand the Application Boundaries of Heavy-Duty Mobile Robot Technology
The successful delivery and large-scale deployment of Siasun’s port mobile robots at PSA Singapore marks a new high point in the cooperation between the two parties. The two sides stated that they will take this delivery ceremony as a higher starting point to further deepen their cooperative relationship, combine mature robot technology solutions with the advanced management needs of international ports, and jointly explore more possibilities for the construction of smart ports, setting a new industry benchmark for the intelligent transformation of global ports. This successful cooperation has also become a typical example of international cooperation in the high-tech field under the Belt and Road Initiative, showcasing the international competitiveness of China’s independent research and development of intelligent robot technology.
Looking to the future, the outdoor heavy-duty mobile robot technology represented by Siasun’s port mobile robots has far more application scenarios than seaports. It can carry out automated transshipment of standardized goods on outdoor roads in various industrial parks, inland port areas and large logistics hubs, with huge market demand and development potential. Siasun will continue to promote technological iteration and scenario adaptation, and is committed to injecting stronger impetus into the efficient, intelligent and green development of the global logistics system.

The 4th Conference on the Promotion of the Commercial Application of Unmanned Cleaning & Sanitation Robot 2026 will be held by China Low-speed Automated Driving Industry Alliance (LSAD) on April 1, 2026 at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Stay tuned!
