Since 2025, the global robotics industry has witnessed a surge in capital activities, with multiple high-profile acquisitions emerging in rapid succession. Hangcha Intelligent secured nearly 99.23% of Guozi Robotics’ equity through a capital increase, while Japan’s SoftBank Group acquired ABB Robotics for $5.375 billion. NEURA Robotics GmbH also took over ek robotics GmbH. This series of cross-regional capital maneuvers has quietly ignited a major industry shake-up.
According to data from China Mobile Robot Industry Alliance (CMRA) and incomplete statistics from New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute (NRSI), at least 20 iconic acquisitions have occurred in the global robotics sector since 2025, with disclosed transaction values reaching approximately 52.1 billion yuan.
This wave of acquisitions is not only unprecedented in scale, but also exhibits unique characteristics in timing, geographical scope, transactional structure, and strategic intent, profoundly reshaping the global competitive landscape of the robotics industry.
