On June 18, 2025, Shanghai Kusa Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Kusa Tech“), a city service robot provider, announced that it had completed tens of millions of yuan in Pre-A round of financing. This round of financing is led by Jinshui Lake Venture Capital, and Ronseal Investment and Wuxi Yuanqi Equity Investment participated in the follow-up investment. The funds will be used for the upgrade and iteration of existing unmanned cleaning robot products, the research and development of new generation sanitation robots, and the market expansion, and continue to promote the large-scale application of robots. Kusa Tech has successively received seed round investment from Vortex Info and angel round investment from Side Venture Investment.

Founded in June 2023, Kusa Tech completed the research and development of the first unmanned sweeping robot Kusa Xingjun® S1 in the fourth quarter of 2023 and put into urban road operations. The next year, Kusa Xingjie® was launched. As the fastest company in the industry with product development and commercialization, its product operating efficiency reaches twice the industry average. It has been deployed in more than 20 regions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Sichuan, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Henan, Hubei, Fujian and other provinces and cities.
The core of Kusa Tech lies in its complete embodied robotics architecture, integrating a multimodal perception system with AI vision as the core. Its self-developed unmanned cleaning robot is based on Kusa’s self-developed closed operating system. It can fully understand the environment in open road scenarios, accurately perform cleaning tasks, and achieve centimeter-level edge work accuracy. Relying on the automotive-grade product development process and supply chain system, the products have high stability and reliability. Kusa Tech’s intelligent cloud control platform has dynamic task scheduling capabilities and integrates a Multi-Agent data closed-loop system. The platform is like a “command center”, using big model technology to simulate human team collaboration logic, coordinate the task execution, path planning and resource allocation of robot clusters, and achieve efficient collaborative operations. Actual operation data shows that introducing innovative models combining cloud platforms and robots can significantly reduce operating costs by 50% compared to traditional models.
At the beginning of its establishment, Kusa Tech focused on the sanitation field as the first commercialization direction, and was committed to providing sanitation robot products for operation in open scenarios, as well as unmanned operation solutions covering the entire life cycle of the equipment. The core members of the company’s team are from top universities such as Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Peking University, Zhejiang University, etc., and have profound accumulation in the fields of robots, autonomous driving, chips, complete vehicles, and information and environmental protection. Yang Xi, the Co-founder and CEO, has the technology and operation management experience of many Fortune 500 companies. Dr. Tao Sheng, the Co-founder and CTO, has served as the laboratory director of China Academy of Transportation Science, a senior technical chief engineer of Baidu Autonomous Driving and has completed the research and development of the first generation of mass-produced robotaxi technology. He has rich practical experience in autonomous driving, and has won many national and provincial and ministerial technical awards.
