D-Robotics announced today the completion of a $400 million Series C funding round. The round was led by Mirae Asset Capital, with co-investment from strategic investors and government-backed investment platforms—including Meituan Strategic Investment, Hefei State-owned Capital, Nanshan SEI Investment, and Jingquan Capital—as well as institutions such as Cathay Capital, Huamei International Investment Group, GF Xinde Investment, Chaoyue Moore, and Xinchuang Phase II Fund (under Qihang Investment).
Existing shareholders also increased their investments, including GLV, 5y Capital, Linear Capital, Huangpu River Capital, Vertex Growth, Prosperity7, Hermitage Capital, YF Capital, Long-Z Investments, Joyoung Family Office, DH Capital, Capital Link, Alphax Partners, Unity Ventures, Monad Ventures, Digital Futures, and Glacier Institute.
According to D-Robotics, the proceeds will be used primarily to further refine the product lineup of the Sunrise chip series—covering the full spectrum of computing power requirements—and to build an end-to-end software platform that integrates data collection, model training, simulation verification, and inference deployment. Through this integrated hardware-software infrastructure for embodied AI, the company aims to meet development needs ranging from established robot categories to general-purpose humanoid robots, thereby driving the large-scale application of embodied AI technology.
Expanding from Robot Chips to Embodied AI Infrastructure
Founded in January 2024, headquartered in Shenzhen and incubated by Horizon Robotics, D-Robotics is a technology enterprise specializing in the R&D of universal hardware and software foundations for robots.
The company’s core products currently include the Sunrise series of intelligent computing chips and the RDK robot developer kits. These products address diverse needs ranging from low-power edge computing to high-performance computing and have been deployed in fields such as humanoid robots and drones.
As of the first half of 2026, the cumulative shipment volume of the Sunrise chip series has surpassed 8 million units; the embodied AI business has entered the mass-production shipment stage, and the integrated hardware-software robot infrastructure has undergone large-scale validation.
Notably, the Sunrise S600, designed specifically for embodied AI scenarios, is one of the company’s key products. Since its launch in November 2025, the S600—leveraging its single-chip full-stack computing power, highly reliable hardware design, and an integrated edge-cloud development toolchain—has been adopted within six months by over 20 leading clients. These include TARS, Spirit AI, X Square Robot, BeingBeyond, UBTECH, PaXini, X-humanoid, OpenLoong, and Xiaoyubot.
Currently, D-Robotics has achieved a market penetration rate of over 50% among clients in the field of embodied intelligence. Applications for the Sunrise S600 span humanoid robots, industrial wheeled robots, flexible 3C manufacturing, embodied foundation models, and full-modal perception; the majority of these projects have already reached the mass-production shipment stage.

Building a Robot Developer Ecosystem
Beyond chips and computing platforms, D-Robotics is continuously expanding its robot developer ecosystem.
The company has established a developer growth system that encompasses education incubation, maker empowerment, innovation acceleration, and industry applications. According to the company, more than 500 small and medium-sized maker enterprises, over 500 educational institutions, and more than 100,000 developers across 20+ countries are currently developing robots based on the D-Robotics platform.
To date, hundreds of intelligent robot products in various forms have been created using the platform, serving millions of users worldwide.
This ecosystem strategy has allowed D-Robotics to extend its business model beyond standalone hardware products to include chips, development kits, software toolchains, and a developer ecosystem, aiming to build general-purpose infrastructure for embodied intelligence development.
Core Team with Expertise in Chips and Intelligent Computing
The core team at D-Robotics possesses strong expertise in chips, artificial intelligence, and robotics technology.
Its CEO Cong Wang holds a bachelor’s degree from Beijing University of Technology and a Ph.D. from Wright State University (USA); he previously served as General Manager of the Robotics Business Unit at Horizon Robotics. Wei Sui, Vice President of Algorithms, holds a bachelor’s degree from Beihang University and a Ph.D. from the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Team members come primarily from organizations such as Horizon Robotics, Baidu, Alibaba, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, bringing technical capabilities that span chip design, robotics algorithms, software and hardware development, autonomous driving, and intelligent computing.
With the closing of this $400 million funding round, D-Robotics is further expanding from a supplier of robot computing chips into a provider of embodied AI infrastructure—spanning chips, computing platforms, software toolchains, and developer ecosystems.
