The global mobile robot market continued its rapid expansion in 2025, with Chinese vendors further strengthening their position in the global industry, according to the latest market data compiled by China Mobile Robot Industry Alliance (CMRA) and New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute (NSRI).
In terms of sales volume, the global mobile robot market grew from approximately 55,000 units in 2020 to 265,000 units in 2025. China’s market expanded even more rapidly, with annual sales increasing from 4,280 units in 2015 to 182,000 units in 2025.

In terms of sales value, the global mobile robot market increased from approximately $1.9 billion in 2020 to $6.3 billion in 2025. China’s market grew from RMB 1.2 billion in 2015 to RMB 26.1 billion in 2025, highlighting the rapid expansion of the Chinese mobile robotics industry.

Moreover, Chinese vendors have gained a dominant share of global sales. In 2025, Chinese companies accounted for 68.68% of global mobile robot sales volume, while vendors from other countries and regions accounted for 31.32%. By sales value, Chinese vendors held a 61.46% share, compared with 38.54% for other markets. The higher share by volume suggests that Chinese suppliers are particularly competitive in cost-sensitive, large-scale deployment scenarios.

Furthermore, Asia remained the largest application market worldwide. In 2025, Asia accounted for 44.44% of global mobile robot applications, making it the largest regional market. North America followed with 24.13%, closely ahead of Europe at 23.49%. South America and other regions represented 3.17% and 4.76%, respectively.

The figures underline the growing international competitiveness of Chinese mobile robot manufacturers. With advantages in price-performance, supply-chain responsiveness and large-scale deployment, Chinese vendors are increasingly moving beyond the domestic market and expanding their presence in global markets.
