Recently, Cheetah Mobile announced that it had signed an agreement through its holding subsidiary to acquire 60.8% of the shares of Shenzhen UFactory Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “UFACTORY”), a lightweight robotic arm supplier, for a total consideration of approximately 99.5 million yuan.
Before the transaction, another wholly-owned subsidiary of Cheetah Mobile already held 19.2% of UFACTORY shares; after the transaction is completed, the company’s two subsidiaries will hold a total of 80% of UFACTORY shares, and Cheetah Mobile’s final economic interest in UFACTORY will increase to 75.8%, achieving a controlling stake in UFACTORY. The transaction is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.

Established in 2013, UFACTORY focuses on the research and development and manufacturing of lightweight collaborative robots. With the uArm robotic arm as the core, it has launched cobots covering multiple degrees of freedom such as 5-axis, 6-axis, and 7-axis, as well as supporting core component modules.
So far, UFACTORY has been focusing on overseas markets, with products in more than 80 countries and regions around the world, and has achieved steady revenue growth and profitability.
Fu Sheng, Chairman and CEO of Cheetah Mobile, said that this transaction would further enrich Cheetah Mobile’s robot product matrix, enabling robots to cover more physical world scenarios and operational needs, and expand the application boundaries of robots. The two parties will accelerate the large-scale implementation of intelligent robot solutions in multiple scenarios around the world.
As of March 31, 2025, Cheetah Mobile held more than US$ 230 million in net cash, providing financial support for its robot strategic layout.
Since Cheetah Mobile proposed the “All in AI” strategy in 2016, it has deployed in the field of robots through its holding subsidiary OrionStar, and has launched reception service robots, delivery service robots, industrial distribution robots, and new retail service robots, covering multiple scenarios such as catering, hotels, and factories. It has been applied in more than 60 countries and regions around the world, especially in Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe and the United States.
