According to China Mobile Robot Industry Alliance (CMRA) and Humanoid Robot Scene Application Alliance (HRAA), Beijing Robotera Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Robotera”) announced today that it has completed a nearly RMB 1 billion Series A+ financing. This round was led by Gly Capital, with strategic investment from BAIC Capital, and joint investment from Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund and Beijing Robot Industry Development Investment Fund. Several international industry giants have also provided strategic capital support.
This financing will further support the technological iteration and practical application of the end-to-end VLA embodied large model ERA-42. The participation of Gly Capital and BAIC Capital also further opens up strategic collaborative development space for the company’s industrial applications.
Founded in 2023, Robotera was incubated by the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University and Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute. It adheres to the principle of self-developed, integrated hardware and software stack of “embodied brain” and “humanoid body,” aiming to make robots reliable partners for humans by creating a general-purpose brain and general-purpose robots.
Robotera’s ERA-42 embodied brain has achieved precise control over the entire body and five-fingered dexterous hands of a full-size, high-degree-of-freedom bipedal humanoid robot. It has been implemented in multiple fields, including logistics, manufacturing, and commercial services, creating a positive cycle where “the richer the scenario, the more intelligent the model.” In logistics, it can handle the sorting and barcode scanning of pharmaceuticals, daily necessities, and parcels; in manufacturing, it focuses on breakthroughs in tasks such as “parts grasping – high-precision assembly – quality inspection”; and in commercial services, it can perform tasks such as store cleaning, item delivery, and tour guiding. Currently, efficiency in some scenarios reaches 70%.

Robotera also provides development tools and industry solutions for developers and enterprises. Domestically, it focuses on embodied intelligence industry solution applications, while internationally it targets the developer market, forming a business pattern of “deep cultivation in China + overseas expansion.”
Domestically, it has established deep partnerships with companies such as Geely, Renault, SF Express, TCL, Haier, Lenovo, and Golden Resources. The largest single order in the logistics industry was nearly RMB 50 million, and a standardized solution has been developed. With 50% of its business located overseas, covering North America, Europe, the Middle East, Japan, and South Korea, Robotera has become the preferred choice for top global institutions such as SKILD AI, ByteDance, MIT, Stanford, Tsinghua University, and Peking University. Furthermore, 9 out of the world’s top 10 tech giants by market capitalization are its clients.
