On the afternoon of November 5, the “2024 Global Mobile Robot New Product Roadshow Day,” jointly organized by the China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Alliance and Shanghai CeMAT Logistics Exhibition, was successfully held at Hall N2, H2 Forum Area, at the Shanghai CeMAT. In addition to the live audience, more than 3,000 viewers joined via online streaming.
The event began with an analysis of the global mobile robot market by Peng Qing, the editor-in-chief of the Information Department of the China Mobile Robot (AGV/AMR) Alliance. According to New Strategy Research Institute-Mobile Robot(AGV/AMR) Division, the global mobile robot sales scale in 2023 reached $5.3 billion, with approximately 210,000 units sold. Although the industry’s growth has slowed due to the global economic environment, the sector is expected to maintain resilience, and most companies remain optimistic about its future development.
Following the market insights, the new product launches began, with leading companies including Geek+, Intel, UQI, Mushiny Intelligence, and SAFETY unveiling their latest products and solutions, showcasing their creativity and innovation in intelligent logistics and automated handling.
Geek+ and Intel — Pure Vision Mobile Robot
The Geek+ pure vision robot solution integrates Intel’s RealSense camera within Intel’s Vision Navigation Module. This camera features an innovative all-in-one design that enables in-device depth processing with low power consumption and is platform-agnostic. The Intel RealSense camera provides core support for various vision-based AI solutions, with a dedicated visual processor accelerating machine learning and reducing deployment time for automation solutions. Building on Intel’s Vision Navigation Module, Geek+ and Intel collaborated on deep innovations in V-SLAM positioning, compound detection networks, and robot following algorithms. The Geek+ pure vision robot ensures precision and efficiency in environmental awareness, positioning, and tracking, helping logistics and warehousing providers drive intelligent logistics transformation.
UQI — Full-Stack Unmanned Logistics Solution
UQI launched the industry’s first solution integrating humanoid robots with L4-level unmanned logistics vehicles, industrial mobile robots, and intelligent manufacturing management systems in industrial settings. Within UQI’s full-stack unmanned logistics solution, humanoid robots can collaborate with unmanned logistics vehicles, unmanned forklifts, and industrial mobile robots for sorting, transporting, and delivering tasks. The humanoid robot Walker S1 receives material transfer tasks from the UPilot mobile robot operating system, utilizing a multimodal large model for location and semantic information, sorting materials from shelves into totes. The Wali U600 lifting mobile robot transports the sorted totes to a designated transfer point, where another humanoid robot, Walker S1, places the tote onto a pallet. Subsequently, the Wali F3000 heavy-load unmanned forklift autonomously navigates to the transfer point, lifting and loading the pallet into the L4-level unmanned logistics vehicle Chitu, seamlessly linking indoor and outdoor logistics.
Mushiny Intelligence — 3D Sorter Intelligent Sorting Solution
Mushiny Intelligence introduced the 3D Sorter intelligent sorting system for goods sorting, available in two versions: 3D Sorter Max and 3D Sorter Mini. 3D Sorter Max stands out for its high sorting efficiency, optimal ROI, and strong flexibility. With sorting efficiency exceeding 10,000 pph (up to 14,000 pieces per hour), the system can boost order picking efficiency by 3–5 times, providing superior ROI and enabling both vertical and horizontal sorting while saving around 70% of space compared to traditional cross-belt sorters. The 3D Sorter Mini is designed for small- to medium-sized warehouses, achieving an ROI of less than one year and a sorting rate of up to 1,500 pph (pieces per hour), increasing efficiency 2–3 times over manual sorting. The compact unit supports dual-side sorting wall deployment, customizable ports, seamless integration with WMS, ERP, and supports both forward and reverse logistics.
SAFETY — New Non-Positive Pressure Explosion-Proof Hybrid Robot
Traditional positive-pressure explosion-proof hybrid robots create a positive-pressure environment by continuously pumping air or inert protective gas into the robot arm to prevent explosive gases from entering and triggering explosions due to sparks or high temperatures. However, limitations include restricted operating zones, high gas costs, cumbersome operation, and difficulty maintaining a positive pressure chamber. SAFETY’s non-positive pressure explosion-proof hybrid robot achieves explosion-proof functionality by employing multiple explosion-proof technologies, such as enhanced safety, flameproof, encapsulation, and intrinsic safety design, without relying on a positive pressure environment. Advantages include unaffected operating range, no frequent gas cylinder changes, no risk of gas depletion causing explosion-proof failure, ready-to-use operation, high efficiency, and no impact on the movement range or precision of the robot arm.
These newly released products demonstrate the latest technological achievements in the field, offering innovative solutions for intelligent logistics, automated handling, and promoting the continuous advancement of mobile robotics.
