On August 21, the Logistics Automation Development Strategy & the 7th International Mobile Robot Integration Application Conference was successfully held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This international event, focusing on the development of logistics automation and mobile robots, attracted participants from the intelligent logistics and mobile robot industry chain, system integrators, agents, distributors, and manufacturing and trade logistics-related application companies from China and Southeast Asia, becoming a key platform for promoting regional industry cooperation and exchange.

The conference was hosted by China Mobile Robot Industry Alliance (CMRA) and the New Strategy Mobile Robot Industry Research Institute, supported by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), and co-organized by Supply Chain Asia, Logiflow, Universal EXchange Culture Media, and MTE. With a core focus on “Based in Malaysia and Radiating Southeast Asia,” the conference showcased how logistics automation could improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and promote sustainable development by sharing intelligent logistics and mobile robot industry solutions, representative cases, the latest technologies, and future trends.
The conference featured 13 keynote speeches that were highly anticipated. Peng Qing, Editor-in-Chief of the Information Department of CMRA, released the 2024-2025 Global Mobile Robot Industry Development Report, providing an in-depth analysis of the global mobile robot application market. Mr. Ruzlisham Mat Diah, Deputy Director of Oil & Gas, Maritime, and Logistics Services , MIDA, explained Malaysia’s future supply chain development strategy. Executives and experts from companies such as Siasun, Fairyland, Hangcha Guozi, Lyric, NTI, and LINDIN shared case studies and solutions in manufacturing, automotive, new energy and fast-moving consumer goods, cold chain, and smart production line construction. Furthermore, the Future Technologies Team Lead of AGILOX presented “Sustainable Flexible Logistics,” UCity-HC elaborated on “Industrial Internet + Customized Solution for In-plant Intelligent Logistics,” and RobotPhoenix shared “Large-scale Application of AGV/AMR Standard Products,” providing diverse perspectives for industry development.

At the conference, automotive industry experts presented a presentation titled “The Intelligent Logistics Construction of a Well-known Automobile Enterprise,” reviewing the entire process of the company’s transformation from traditional to smart logistics. Peter Jin, Founder of C-flow Log Tech Consultant, also shared a more targeted “The ‘Five-Step’ Strategy for Quickly and Appropriately Introducing Intelligent Logistics,” providing a practical guide for companies’ smart transformation, from needs diagnosis and solution design to implementation and maintenance.

The two roundtable sessions were equally engaging. The morning session, moderated by Paul Lim, Founder and Chairman of Supply Chain Asia, featured insightful discussions on industry hot topics. In the afternoon session, led by Fong, Sales Director of Logiflow Automation, representatives from companies such as Siasun and Geek+ delved into smart logistics practices and collaboration opportunities, aiming to bridge the gap between supply and demand. Product showcases from 13 companies also provided attendees with a firsthand experience of the innovative advancements in logistics automation technology and products.

The successful conference not only established an efficient and interconnected platform for cross-border exchange and cooperation for the global mobile robotics industry, but also, with Malaysia as a fulcrum, injected strong development momentum into Southeast Asia’s logistics automation industry, accelerating the regional industry’s transition to a new stage of intelligent and collaborative development.
CMRA has always been committed to “making Chinese mobile robots influence the world.” Going forward, CMRA will further upgrade its service system and create a multi-dimensional, regular overseas exchange platform to help Chinese technologies and products achieve higher-quality implementation in the global market, which will inject “Chinese momentum” into the innovative development of the global mobile robotics industry and promote the formation of a more open and collaborative global industrial ecosystem.
