RMB 500 million! AI2 Robotics secured massive order for 1,000 humanoid robots

On September 11, 2025, AI² Robotics and Shenzhen Intelligence IoT Technology Service Co., Ltd. jointly announced in Shenzhen the formal signing of the world’s first comprehensive strategic partnership for embodied intelligence in the semiconductor display field. Shenzhen Intelligence IoT, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HKC Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “HKC”), will work with AI² Robotics to deploy over 1,000 embodied intelligent robots at HKC’s global production bases over the next three years, covering the entire process from warehousing and logistics, material loading and unloading, component assembly, to quality inspection and testing. The order value of this collaboration between Shenzhen Intelligence IoT and AI² Robotics is reportedly close to RMB 500 million. This collaboration marks the first large-scale entry of embodied intelligent robots into the semiconductor display industry, opening a new chapter in industry applications.

AlphaBot series robots of AI² Robotics are wheeled, dual-armed, and humanoid robots. Their initial deployment at HKC’s global production base will focus on PCB operation, with the robots also expected to be used in multiple scenarios, including OLED vacuum lamination, consumables management, and waste material recycling. For example, precise control of suction force during vacuum lamination prevents material wrinkles and improves process consistency.

This collaboration not only introduces the robot itself but also successfully integrates an AI-powered edge-to-edge model developed jointly with Shenzhen Intelligence IoT into the production line control system. This model is deeply optimized for specific scenarios in display panel manufacturing, enabling lower-latency real-time decision-making and more efficient energy management, further improving the robot’s responsiveness and operational reliability in complex industrial environments.

In addition to procurement and deployment, the two parties will establish a joint technical team to develop a next-generation VLA model and lightweight edge-to-edge inference model for industrial operations based on HKC’s extensive industrial know-how and production line data. The goal is to create “intelligent workers” that can continuously learn, evolve, and truly understand the screen manufacturing process.

AI² Robotics, an embodied intelligence startup founded in 2023, announced last week the completion of a new Series A financing round led by SCGC, with participation from BLOOMAGE BIOTECH and a large retailer as industrial capitals, and continued investment from existing shareholders such as Dunhong Capital Management and SDIC SECURITIES. The total amount raised exceeded 100 million yuan.

In terms of application, AI² Robotics has already implemented robotics in the automobile manufacturing, biotechnology, public services, and other fields. In the semiconductor field, in March of this year, AI² Robotics partnered with Jingneng Microelectronics, a subsidiary of Geely Group, to jointly develop a universal embodied intelligent robotics solution for high-quality semiconductor manufacturing plants. Furthermore, AI² Robotics’s own factory, with an annual production capacity of over 1,000 units, officially commenced production in September of this year, laying the foundation for large-scale commercial use.
