According to statistics from China Humanoid Robot Scene Application Alliance (HRAA), based on estimates from the supply chain, OEMs and ODMs, and leading companies, the global quadruped robot shipments in 2025 reached approximately 82,000 units, in which China reached about 65,000 units, representing about 80% of the global market.

With prices continuing to decline, the global quadruped robot market size in 2025 was approximately 7 billion yuan, in which the Chinese market size was approximately 5 billion yuan, accounting for about 60% of the global market. (Note: The above data does not include desktop-type small quadruped robots.)

By application, the quadruped robot market structure in 2025 can be roughly divided into three categories: consumer-level (including scientific research and education), industry-level, and military-level. Overall, consumer-level determines the shipments, industry-level determines the profit margin, and military-level determines the technological level; these three together constitute the basic structure of the current quadruped robot market.

At the enterprise level, the quadruped robot market exhibits a structure of “a few leading companies shipping on a large scale, while most companies deliver in small batches.”
In Chinese market, leading companies have a particularly significant advantage in shipments. Among them, Unitree has substantial coverage in the consumer-level, scientific research and education, and some industry-level markets, with its products known for their high cost-effectiveness and scalability. Deep Robotics holds an advantage in industry-level and special applications such as inspection, fire control, and police use. The emerging company, GENISOM AI, founded in 2023, has rapidly increased its volume since its inception. Weilan also has significant shipments in the consumer sector.
From a global perspective, European and American companies lag significantly behind Chinese companies in terms of shipment scale. Companies like Boston Dynamics, ANYbotics, and Ghost Robotics mainly focus on the high-end or military/police sectors, with high unit value but limited shipment volumes; in contrast, Chinese companies have a clear advantage in the low-to-mid-price range and the large-scale market.
