Driven by the global wave of new energy, new energy vehicle manufacturing is rapidly advancing toward a new era of internationalization and intelligent production. The BYD passenger car manufacturing base in Hungary, Europe, serves as a critical strategic foothold in BYD’s global layout. By fully introducing SIASUN’s high-end mobile robot solutions, the site is becoming a regional benchmark for intelligent manufacturing.
Project Background:
To establish a localized and highly efficient vehicle production system for the European market, BYD adopted lean logistics principles to support mixed-model production and high-takt operations.
The Hungary plant has deployed:
- 25 SIASUN assembly mobile robots
- 69 sub-assembly mobile robots
- 50 towing mobile robots
- 618 logistics delivery mobile robots
With deep insights into industry standards and outstanding capabilities in customized automation, SIASUN has built a full-process solution—from precise material delivery in stamping, efficient transfer of semi-finished products in welding, to seamless flow coordination across sub-assembly and final assembly lines.
Key Product Advantages:
High positioning accuracy and fast system response, adaptable to complex routes and takt time variations
Highly coordinated with the production line, ensuring takt time consistency
Multi-point lifting support for chassis, vehicle body, and tooling platform assembly, adaptable to multiple model processes, significantly improving final assembly efficiency.
Strategic Value:
The large-scale deployment of SIASUN mobile robots at BYD Hungary has significantly enhanced the automation, flexibility, and intelligence of the vehicle production line. It also provides solid support for the localization of new energy vehicle manufacturing in Europe.
The project helps BYD realize its strategic vision of “Manufacturing in Europe, Delivering Globally,” ensuring both production efficiency and product quality, while also driving collaborative development across the European local industry chain.
