Orbit Robotics Unveiled Space-Using Four-Armed Humanoid Robot HELIOS
On May 20, Zurich-based robotics startup Orbit Robotics unveiled HELIOS, a space-using humanoid robot. Designed specifically for the microgravity environment of space, it has four arms. According to reports, in microgravity, movement relies primarily on gripping handrails and surfaces rather than walking. HELIOS can use two arms to stabilize its body while using the other two for manipulation. Its motor is mounted near the shoulder to reduce the weight of the limbs; while the rolling contact elbow joint ensures smooth movement and avoids the backlash problem common in traditional hinge systems.

Elite Robots Launched New Wheeled Humanoid Robot
On May 21, at the “Unmanned Forklift and Wheeled Humanoid Robot Industry Development Conference 2026,” Elite Robots officially released the Centaur-G1 wheeled humanoid robot. The product features a flexible dual-arm upper body and a complete intelligent sensing system, while the lower body is equipped with an omnidirectional wheeled chassis. Min Wu, head of Embodied Intelligence Business Unit, Elite Robots, stated that this product deeply embodies Elite Robots’ core R&D concept of “One Brain, Multiple Forms.” “One Brain, Multiple Forms” refers to the ability to drive cobots, mobile manipulators, and wheeled humanoid robots in coordinated operation based on a unified intelligent hub.

LimX Dynamics Officially Released Full-Size Interactive Humanoid Robot LimX Luna
On May 25, Shenzhen-based embodied intelligence unicorn LimX Dynamics officially released the full-size interactive humanoid robot LimX Luna, with a domestic retail price of RMB 298,000.
