UK-based humanoid robotics company Humanoid has raised $152 million in Series A funding at a post-money valuation of $1.35 billion, marking one of the largest investments in Europe’s humanoid robotics sector. The round was led by Prime Movers Lab, with participation from industrial technology leaders including Schaeffler, Bosch, Fubon Financial Holding Venture Capital, and Aglaé Ventures. The latest investment brings Humanoid’s total funding raised to approximately $270 million.
The new funding will accelerate the development of Humanoid’s next-generation humanoid robots, expand its AI capabilities, support commercial deployments, and advance large-scale manufacturing efforts as the company targets industrial applications worldwide.
Founded in the UK, Humanoid is focused on building general-purpose humanoid robots powered by Physical AI, combining advanced artificial intelligence, robotics hardware, and autonomous decision-making systems. The company’s technology roadmap centers on enabling robots to understand complex environments, perform diverse physical tasks, and collaborate safely with humans in existing workplaces.
Humanoid’s product portfolio includes the HMND 01 series, featuring both wheeled and bipedal humanoid platforms. The wheeled humanoid robot is designed for early commercial adoption in industrial environments, including manufacturing logistics, material handling, and warehouse operations, while the bipedal platform represents the company’s long-term vision for general-purpose humanoid robots.
At the software level, Humanoid has developed its proprietary KinetIQ AI platform, which provides robot perception, task planning, autonomous control, and fleet management capabilities. By combining AI intelligence with flexible robotic hardware, the company aims to develop robots capable of adapting to different industrial workflows without major changes to existing facilities.
Commercial Deployments Moving from Pilot Projects Toward Industrial Scale
Humanoid has begun validating its robots in real-world industrial environments through collaborations with leading manufacturers and technology companies.
In partnership with SAP and automotive supplier Martur Fompak, Humanoid demonstrated an industrial logistics proof-of-concept using its HMND 01 Alpha wheeled humanoid robot. During the trial, the robot autonomously received task instructions through an SAP AI agent, navigated through a manufacturing environment, identified and collected KLT containers, and transported materials to support production workflows.
The company has also launched industrial validation projects with Bosch, where Humanoid robots demonstrated autonomous handling capabilities in dynamic logistics scenarios involving different types of boxes and manufacturing processes.
In its strategic partnership with Schaeffler, Humanoid is advancing toward larger-scale deployment of humanoid robots in manufacturing environments. The collaboration includes plans for phased deployment of robots across Schaeffler’s industrial operations, with the companies targeting future deployment of thousands of humanoid robots. Schaeffler will also support Humanoid’s hardware ecosystem as a supplier of key robotic components, including actuators.
These deployments highlight Humanoid’s strategy of focusing on industrial applications where humanoid robots can address labor shortages, improve operational flexibility, and work alongside existing human-centered infrastructure.
Expanding Commercialization and Global Deployment
Following the Series A financing, Humanoid plans to accelerate customer deployments, with initial commercial applications targeting manufacturing, logistics, retail, and industrial service scenarios. The company will continue improving its AI platform, expanding manufacturing capabilities, and building partnerships across the global robotics ecosystem.
As the humanoid robotics industry enters a new phase of commercialization, Humanoid aims to transition humanoid robots from demonstration platforms into scalable industrial solutions.
